Took a late evening stroll down Nathan Road to the end of the Kowloon peninsula to view the Christmas 'Symphony of Lights' along the famous Hong Kong skyline. The low cloud obscured some of the taller buildings (Bank of China and 2IFC) - but the reflected light has added colour to the picture.
Hi, I'm planning to visit Hong Kong this coming December 2014. And I'm planning to shoot Symphony of Lights in Panorama. Can you help me of how you took the shot? and some advice? :) that would be great!
ReplyDeleteHi Kyle. The shot was taken with a Canon EOS30D and EF17-40 lens. Exposure was an 1/8th at f4 and ISO400. For the single shots I used one-shot AF focusing and evaluative metering, but for the multi-shot panoramas I went manual for both the exposure and the focus. I actually forgot my tripod - so had to balance the camera on a conveniently placed rubbish bin! I hope you have a great time in HKG.
